Congratulations to you both.
Congratulations to you both.
Congrats! Look forward to seeing him soon.... get him into the under 6s races asap. One needs to start them young.
Wonderful news Alastair.
Anybody know much about these other than being a set of races held around Kendal during the Winter - I'd kinda thought they'd be cross countries but understand them to be more akin to mini fell races.
Any clues??
Timo
Cross Country...?Nope...they're much more akin to BOFRA races.

And cracking good races all of 'em! Usually kick off first week of January with Scouts Scar, top side of Kendal. Harry H Howgill will be able to say more (as it's Helm Hill that organise them). Keep an eye on Helm Hill web site too.
The league is organised by Helm Hill Runners and usually runs from early January until mid-April. I don't think the 2008 races are on the site yet but this was the 2007 list. The races are all short and some are very much straight up and down. I think I'm correct in saying that the league was originally devised to help the "professional" BOFRA runners retain a competitive edge during the winter when there are no BOFRA races.
Corrrr... was I a professional?![]()
Yes, Harry's organising the Winter League again this year. I'll post the list on the Helm Hill website as soon as I get it from Harry. I expect the first one will be Scout Scar as Stick says.
Thanks - sound great and just what we need! Cross country sounded ok but these sound even better, especially Scout Scar which could almost be our local race soon!
Will keep any eye on the HHWebsite and if they're anything like the BOFRA races - that'll be awesome!
See some people there soon??
