Hope Emi is OK - offered her some jelly babies and she said that she was pulling out. Long walk back from there as well.

Steady run for me but managed to finish my first AL. Perhaps need some more distance training if I want to avoid being at the back.

just off for a soak in the bath.

Yep...it's a tough race isn't it. And I'm convinced that that last hill got a lot lot bigger than the times I'd recce'd it

Now, maybe it's cos I slowed considerably on the 2nd half, but did anyone else feel absolutely frozen in the cold wind which seemed to pick up about midday...? 40mins in front of the roaring fire of Pendle Inn still didn't warm me up again!

An even bigger thanks than normal methinks for the organisers and marshall. You must have been perishing out there! (And double-cheers Also-ran...my goodness did I need that drink )

Great to see the fellow-forumers I know today. Well done Swoop (what a time compared to last!) and Daleside (just how did you managed to have a chat with the Wharfedale gang at the top of big end...I was struggling to breath by then!!!)

    And Get-well/recovered soon Em.

Thanks to Kieran and the Clayton gang. Thanks to Martin for taking so many photos of me around the course. It pays to run close to Martin's Mrs when he has the camera!
(Great run Kath. You made me work hard today!)
Hard luck Emma and Helen. Hope you are both ok soon.
    How did everyone do?
I know Moo was in the prizes and Calf and Disco Stan were under 3 hours. Jamie wasn't far outside.
I had a good tussle with jodg all the way round, passing each other on every hill.
I did 3.30 (21 min better than last year) but was overtaken by our chairman at the last checkpoint.
    Well done Tony.
Thanks to all the marshals, especially Manhar and Bill Smith at CP4/11, for their encouragement.

    Great run Swoop
We watched from Checkpoint 4 and the speed that people were coming down that bank was awsome. Lloyd was 3rd over the top and 50 yards in front at the stream. But Karl Gray was the fastest man from top to bottom and made it look easy.
There were all sorts of different lines coming back to 11.
Mrs Stagger clocked 3.40 and she is over the moon.
Get well soon Helen & Emmi and Ali and anyone one who picked up a knock.

Well done to you all. It made a tremendous spectacle to watch.

think I managed to knock 15 mins off last years. I also came about 3:40, like staggers mrs and very happy but sore.

Well done to all who ran. Martins Mrs had a really good run (first A long race). She looked very strong all the way round.

Also well done to swoop. I took quite a few photos but I am having problems putting them on the website. I have attached a photo of swoop approaching check point 6.

    I hope Emmilou recovers quickly.

    Re: Full Tour of Pendle

Today was the first time I have done the Tour since it moved to a November slot. I was slightly disappointed about how easy is these days to navigate around the course by following the trail of discarded Go Gel wrappers. For people who supposedly enjoy the hills, leaving a trail of litter across them is not acceptable - litterlouts stay home.

On a lighter note, thanks Kieran, four hours of sheer pleasure (well, two and a half, until the boiler blew up) with a tee-shirt thrown in and all for five quid - you don't get value for money like that at Alton Towers.
