Absolutely spot on, join a club if you want, join the fell ponies if you want, do what makes you happy in your spare time. If you can't afford any clothes, wear a smile. Enjoy life, it could all end tomorrow. Not being morbid, its a fact. There's too much do this do that in the world. Happiness costs nothing, so does being a fell pony![]()
Hi Ambrosia,
B*llocks! B*llocks! B*llocks! Problems piling up here I'm afraid. Am definitely stuck for transport this weekend and worse horror of horrors!!! may have to stand in for a works colleague, who was due to go to Hastings on Monday morning - means travelling down on Sunday:-(
Unless I can pursuade PTto get over to the Lakes or Moors for a day it looks like my next gallop will be the Saltwell 10k on 23rd Dec for a bit of exercise before Christmas (I hate running on the flat on roads! but I believe it's in a park now and has some little humps in it). Then it'll be Guisborough Woods. Have you done that one before?
Cheers
Dave
See, there you go all size-ist ... do I have to say it again??!!
Now, a lesser man would take offence at the remarks from the racing snakes among us...
If you were to reverse the order though (i.e. have The Master, dressed in whatever he likes, on Amex's shoulder) you'd have a going concern so to speak. If we're going to have a race, I bagsie Mrs.C. for the piggy back![]()
... but on the flat only. I don't know if my ankle would handle gradients.
Roll on Monday's recce.
Although there are no Fell Ponies listed in the official results for the Famous Grouse, here we see a sneaky junior Pony hogging the limelight on the start line:
