I reckon i must be missing something here why would a `non` club that has no interest in rules or conformity be interested in taking part in anything that has been organised, or even organising anything themselves, surely by doing so they are contradicting the whole ethos on which the `non` club was founded
No , no,...you ve missed the beat John K....... read my previous post.........the idea is not to be bound by silly rules....silly being the operative word.....hence no committee and no silly club rules
Nope i fully understand that but anything that is organised has to be governed by rules, some of which can be regarded as silly depending on your viewpoint.
Hence my confusion and my question why do group of people that claim to have no need for rules wish to take part in anything that is organised and through necessity has to have rules in order for it to work, as i say it surely must be a contradiction to the whole ethos of a non club.
Just trying to undrestand![]()
Its called fun. Tallying points in some fashion for racing as a pony won't be taken as anything more as some tongue in cheek fun by me for sure; I'm crap too which helps and either way I'm not fussed whether we do arbritarily keep a score or not. And why do you keep talking about rules? Nobody's ruling anything are they?
anyone interested in entering a 2008 Fell Ponies Championship (and that includes non-Fell Ponies):
PM me with a few suggestions for counting races...
Well I'd prefer any race to count or maybe your personal top ten; as soon as you go for selected races it will make things pretty pointless (- see the hidden pun there) as for some reason my better half sees me sometimes doing things other than racing at the weekends.
