    Re: Fell Ponies??

Ran as a Pony today at the Coley Canter. Within this single race, I was charged by a large horse, followed by ponies of the oat munching variety, and deliberately obstructed by a pair of donkeys who completely blocked a narrow enclosed path. I was forced to talk to them at some length before I could persuade them to amble out of my way.
This has never happened to me before, so I think it must be due to wearing the Pony vest. If this is always going to result in being molested by quadrupeds, I fear my times will suffer. I enjoy conversing with donkeys as much as the next man, but there are limits.

Well done, it must have been the vest, did any of them want to join up?
I raced with Pony Chris today in Hamsterley Forest Co Durham(10miler), we did not see any other horses but did follow a nice filly for about 5miles I had to make an effort to pass her, did not want to be accused of stalking!
I hear the Master actually ran a 10k road race today hope he had his blinkers on.

If those donkeys are where I think they are (soon after the stream crossing & step climb?) then they can be bloody annoying.

...as for my Pony vest it looks like it will be Feb before it makes its debut.

I think what The Master is trying is trying to say is "I don't wear tights" What about stockings and suspenders? Feel free to tell me to shut it fatty, or shrink me, either one works for me Is it pick on Master week?

The very same donkeys! You obviously know them well. But to be fair, they live there all year round so perhaps there's more justification for them to find hordes of panting fellrunners annoying.
