Bet you wondered what I was on about this morning when I was telling Dave he was out with two about to be published Fell Poets :)
Goodbye my love.
You look over at me with deep and soulful eyes,
Smiling so sweetly you took me by surprise,
Deep within me you could see my tormented soul,
You came over and kissed me made me feel whole,
I can still see this like it happened yesterday,
Your last breath i kissed you as you passed away,
Be at peace my love and wait patiently for me,
I just hope i told you i love you enough before you were set free.

Good night fellow po-
ets. I'm shattered and my hai-
ku skills have dissap......
Goodnight Harry.
15% Chance.
I want to be like you dad,
Love him more than life itself,
How do i tell him that I'm half mad,
I hope he has love, happiness and wealth.
To stare at him asleep late at night,
So peaceful,beautiful and serene,
He could easily be bipolar that gives me a fright,
Whether he his or not remains to be seen.
Scared to he'd blame me and never want to talk,
He is everything i wished for and so much more,
He might not want to share with me even go a walk,
I just know i love him to my very core.

Amazed to read that everyone who's put a poem on here is going to have something published. I;ve only written one poem in my life and it's on here, which makes me 1 for 1!
Seriously though, my one went on a bit and I know that magazine space can be precious so please, feel free to not bother printing my one to make way for more prolific poets!
Am enjoying lurking and reading this thread :D
Thanks Merry. See run went o.k. How long did it take ?. What sort of elevation does it have ?. Thinking of getting waterproof/resistant jacket and leggings as my current ones are quite bulky. Any recommendations ?. Price not an issue not because i'm rich but i would rather buy one good thing that lasts and have to save up to get it than end up buying three rubbish things.
Corr...sounds great! Not sure about the drip butties though. I would have come but I could well have been hanging about in Hebden near Burnsall if I hadn't been put right by TurboTom last night...kind of like the time I nearly went to Melmerby near Hawes instead of Melmerby near Ripon for a (coughs so you don't really hear it) road race.:( Luckily I found out there were no entries on the day and so didn't bother cycling there and later found out that I'd have cycled for an hour in the wrong direction when it was only down the road. Why am I telling you this? I do not know. I think I had too much vino. I did like the Yeats earlier and I really liked the one about the hare....ramble ramble ramble...hic
Tri, this is unbelievably moving. I bet your son will love you to bits and you will help him understand that the world is not a simple place, people are complicated but the most important thing is honesty and love and you'll give him that. I believe my dad had some kind of social autism, was very hard to deal with at times but I loved him and miss him a lot regardless.
Why choose me ?.
And after all these lives i have suffered through,
I would give up all of them just to be with you,
If you were dying i'd beg god to take me,
So your beauty would be free,
And when my words have come to harm,
Just know that your love keeps me calm,
I feel such a disgrace have nowhere to hide my face,
Why love me in the first place,
I've never been good to you even though i'm always true,
Why should you keep with me instead of someone new,
I'm doing all i can just a flawed and tired guy,
I don't know what you see in me all i can do is try.

Thanks Hes. What tunes did you play during the jam session as i am interested in your music taste. Or was it completely freestyle.
wine helps the chat flow
alas it does not help this
merry flautist blow
Aha Jethro Tull !!!.
4 and a half hours and about 4500ft, plodded round at steady pace cos i want to get out tomorrow and get my climbing up to 10000ft for the week.
I've got an OMM Kamleika smock and a pair of Inov8 Mistlite 130 pants (about £25) OMM do Kamleika pants, but there about £80. Never worn waterproof pants yet, luckily never been injured during a race.
we played all sorts but tonight we did some Radiohead, Snow Patrol, Bright Eyes, some of my mate's songs he wrote (he is a singer/songwriter and a poet), Nick Drake, Simon and Garfunkle and a few others. It is a strange old band. We rearrange the music and play it on instruments such as didgeridus, cello, sax, I play flute, guitars, keyboards, appalacian dulcimers, viola, drums, sitars etc etc
Thanks Merry. Sounds like a good event similar figures to edale skyline.
Very interesting and with the likes of Nick Drake included definitely a musos' choice of artists. Immigrant song by Led Zep would sound unbelievable on those instruments. I'm telling Hes with all your talents in different medias surely a multimedia installation by you would be brilliant if costs were doable you have such talents.
I shall have to get my Bear Grylls kit out in case there is an animal i can dispatch on the way round if i get hungry.
Glad you forgive me but I am the dumb one that can only play whistles and flutes (and a Tibetan singing bowl) the others are the multi-instrumentalists...do you still forgive me? :(
I'm fading too and I only ran 12 miles. Sounds like a great race you did today.
Night night.
Good night Hes.
Merry you still here ?.
I think Edale Skyline was one of my possible race choices. Have the entry forms come out yet. Are you reccying it Tri?
Yes they have but it is full. But if you go to edale skyline facebook page you should be able to get on a waiting list. Yes this week my training is all about checking the route out.
