4.5 mile on Pex Hill tonight in the rain again.
Intense interval session last night running 500m 'sprints' up a sandy horse gallop, with 200m resting jogs. x8. Then 10 short v.steep hill-rep sprints (about 70 secs each).
No substitute for distance training though, and that's what's needed for Borrowdale - let's hope the speedy stuff does something to compensate though ... Rest now ....

A variant of the Edale Skyline, with a bit of extra bog snorkling and the "down and up" thrown in for fun!
24 miles, 5260ft'ish ascent, nice day out. Good job as it took me long enough to get round
Club run with guest appearance from Pete Bland web-site star Pudgy and his dogs. No idea how far we went as we got very lost :cool:

8 Mile on the lanes around Cronton yesterday afternoon followed by 7 miles early this morning around Sefton Park. One hell of a lot of runners out around Sefton Park early this morning.
Up at the father in laws in Bollington .
A quick nip up white nancy and a slow jog accross Keridge .Great views . Fantastic !
Thursday saw a 5 mile approx frolic around the fields and woods near the new shed, again getting lost and again ending up in Ringinglow.
Today walked up to Ringinglow, then ran over to Toads Mouth and explored Burbage and Higgar Tor etc ending up at Fox House where just caught the bus so no time to check out the cafe at Longshaw. Bugger!
15 mile run, fi said at the start it would only be 10! but after some calculating it was 15.3! a 3 hour 40 minute gentle trot was quite nice.. :)
not sure if it was a good idea after yesterdays Borrowdale but was inspired last night by Slippery. so did a steady 30 minutes on the turbo trainer varying from steady to three flat out x 2.00mins in the middle.
5.2 Mile XC and on to Pex Hill this afternoon. It felt quite humid and sticky today.
Latest Trunce tonight. 28:37, keeping it sub 30mins so that'll do. First run out since Borrowdale and felt A OK. :)

Couldn't make the Trunce tonight as I had an MR Ex but managed ANOTHER session on the turbo!!!!!
It did but he probably won't remember much of it... What about Mrs SS? bet she didn't have much sypmathy.

5.5 miles last night. Reps of 4 minutes fast, 4 minutes slow. I was trying to tell myself I'd be able to run Cracken edge at the fast pace. My Garmin trace is on my blog (the green line shows where the hills are).
At last a proper hill session, Daughter went Ice skating with friends giving me a few spare hours.
12 miles, 2500ft from Strines Road, Back Tor, Berristers Tor,Abbey Brook Ladybowyer, Walkers Clough ,lil Pike Low, Lost Lad, Back Tor and home.
Thick clag, drizzle and wind but boy was it warm. Felt like running on a warm Autumn day.
3k track race tonight.
Got a pasting.
Serves me right for thinking a 63 second first lap is the done thing!
5 Mile around Clarkes Gardens in Woolton last night.
Going for a run up the wrekin after work then a slow run around wrekin back to car .
3m to work, 4m home ran all the ups, 30 degrees in the sun at 4pm, head immersed in river in Ripponden:cool:
