8 miles flat xc, one hour. Bloody hot. Saw a buzzard, green woodpecker and a weasel. Which was nice.
60 miles on the bike today in warm and sunny conditions!! Legs fresh after yesterdays FR ready for nice long run tommoz. Very close call with a sheep on a 35mph downhill which wasn't very nice.
very very slow 15 minutes this evening. Trying to make my legs work after Angus Munro (worked a treat).
8miles , legs very stiff
very hot tonight
when is it gonna be a decent day to run
Seen the physio today after work.
Then back home 33min jog between trail, road, towpath. Perhaps seems short to you but at any time since my Achille was under the knife 6 months ago I dreamed of running this far or at this pace.
Tomorrow 42km cycling commute plus swimming an hour.
10 mile tonight on the banks of the mersey. (Note I didnt run it or on this week!)
Could tell I had ran this morning.
30 mins doin laps up and down the approach hill to a Marriott hotel in Boston. Just can't seem to find the time to train properly since Ive been over here in the USA. Will change in 3 weeks or so when we finally get in our house. Getting a gut
Hope everyones well back home and enjoying the rain ;)
:D couple of miles this am and not going to mop the kitchen to burn a few more calories
4.5 miles on the road this morning, felt resonably good.
14 min warm up
16 x 400 off 30 secs recovery with roadrunner
followed by 5 x 30 secs efforts
18 cool down
bloody knackered
Same as Bone, but even more shattered!
(Thought you were rushing off to play pool?)
cancelled to knackered
bath and bed
From Dovestones reservoir and taking in part of Ravenstones route, 1h 30m steady. Cup o' tea now and off to bed.
club race
4 1/2 miles , felt good but no hills in it
5 miles this morning nice and steady. Weather man on radio said today could be nice. I am looking out of my workshop window and its looking dull!
Yesterday 47km cycling commute followed by 32min easy run.
Very painful Achille this morning, as always :(
Today cycling commute plus 1-hr swim.
8 X 3 mins repeats!
Too warm, too outta shape! :(
8 mile club run last night, couldn't be bothered going and had to peel myself off the sofa, but ended up having a really good run.
:( I overslept and didn't have time
10 minute walk / warm up, 15 minute steady jog, 3 x hill reps - 120ft steepish ascent and 150ft vertical drop at full welly: 4.48, 5.55, 4.47. Long stretch, ten minute walk back to car. Lunch on the grass. Lovely stuff.
Big difference in three times for the effort. Why is second effort so much slower?
9 miles over a new sneaky route tonight
couldnt make bamford so i hit the hills around here
Two hours around Kinder this morning.
Nice in the sun for a while but of course it didn't last. Finished in pouring rain!
Tuesday
7 hill reps to the tower, each .5mile and 320ft = 2240ft, felt suprisingly good after Kentmere on sunday. My times for each rep where quicker than when I did them last week and 2 weeks ago, So thats progress I suppose.
Tis very boring though
Wednesday
2.77miles 495ft pleasant run in Sunnyhurst Woods, legs very tired from last night and sunday
Yesterday the Achille was particularly bad. 47km cycling commute plus 1-hr swim. Today one more surgeon visit. Hopefully 30ish min jog tonight.
A very pleasant run around the Stoodly Pike route with excellent company.;)
Part of Mickleden route: Langsett to Cut Gate, down to the stream 'n' back.
My first 'session' with the road lads (and lasses) for blummin ages. They were doin 400's, but harder than normal (when they do 16) and with 30secs more recovery time. I expected to struggle badly as the last time I ran faster than 6pace was nearly 4 weeks ago. However, I surprised myself with an average of 70secs/400 and a fastest of 66secs.
2500' worth of climbing on Pendle - very hot up there today and I felt like shit. Combination of back end of a cold and a nightshift i think. Will try a nice long trail run tommorow after a proper nights sleep!
30 min tempo run in my hour run. Felt good. I will have a cold soon as she is sniffling and full of it.
Managed a long run tonight, 19.5 miles 3300ft. Darwen - Great Hill - Winter Hill and 1 effort up the ramp on winter hill.
Did not feel too bad on the way out struggled on the way back. Good rest now all weekend ,its been a full on week for me since Kentmere
Thats my last long now till borrowdale, looking forward to it.
Cruising for an hour. Recovered, nearly, from the last adventure:)
Gonna thrash Wheeze next time I see him(again):D :D
