Good man, Project 2010 started for me today with TOP after 4.5 hours kip. Sleep don't seem to make any difference to me, never get faster or slower, just keep plodding on, P2010 will be plenty of that. You doing the Hebden as well. Enjoyed that last year so i'll be back.
Have a good un tomorrow mate;)
Evening Merry.
how things things? you well?
Evening Ady,
have you heard from HM?
Its fine whilst i run, its after.
On thurs I did 6 miles with only i tiny niggle during the run.
I sat down when i got home and wrote my run in my running diary and then went for a bath. After my bath i went downstairs to sit and watch tv. When i stood up to trot off to bed it was asif my knee collapsed and the pain when i tried to walk wasnt very nice.
I had to walk without bending my knee so i looked light i was doing the goose-step.
How was pendle merry...what time did you get? I saw you on the pici's....you must be thick skinned to be only wearing a vest.
Think this is what I would have suggested too ;) Pick a route where you're not too far from home and take it easy Al. When you start doing long hard runs like Roaches it takes a while for your body to get used to it and I suspect this is the case with you. Good luck!
Oki doki. I'll go for it then.
My run 2mz isnt a fell run, its from my door step and across the field and such like. A few hills in the route but nothing major.
Thick i'll either take a knee support with me or wear one from the start to keep it compressed because this always seems to stop the pain whilst running.
I'll see how it goes first before i seek any sort of 'medical' help. I'll just grit my teeth and get on with it...unless it doesnt go away.
44 - 18 =26.
So in 26 years ill be able to run without my layers. :p
Good on ya! I decided to give it a miss this year as getting cramp during the roaches which has really knocked my confidence...was regretting it today though whilst i was sat at home eating a bacon buttie thinking about all of you at Pendle :(
Right, I'm off up the wooden hill to Bedlington. Enjoy the rest of your evening guys! :)
Hello :)
Looks like the usual suspects then? :)
I am relatively new to this forum... so just starting to get to know you all...
I have to say, I am very proud of my first fell running scars :)
Done a little more than the one race now though, then again, I am a bit manic... I think hmmm, fell running, and promptly run all races in the South wales Summer series plus some long ones elsewehere... bit mad
I am carp at maths though...
I do feel right at home, I admit it ;)
Evening Onehill, How ya doing?
An example that proves both the scar and my madness:
I was tripped up at the start of Man v. Horse earlier in the year... I fell on my knees and top of my shins, it hurt! I almost fainted but tried to keep moving... I wasn't going to give up in the first mile of a 22 mile race now, was I??? So after a couple of miles things eased off a bit and I finished the race all right. I joined some of my friends who had already finished to wait for those who had not yet... and they pointed at the top of my left shin.
There was a huge swelling and lots of bruising and when I touched it, the tibial tuberosity was actually floating on top of my shin oh dear, I had fractured it!!! It even squeeked a little when touching it... my (male) friends were all grossed out and insisted I'd go to the first aid people and A&E... but a just had a pint and an icecream and all was well :-) But now I have this HUGE lumpy tibial tuberosity sitting on top of my shin... ah well...
When the hell did i get to 500 posts
Last time i looked i was on 400.
LOL, I'd like a lab, of the variety where you do experiments... :D
Off to bed too, night all!
morning :p
Whaddya mean morning, lightweight!!;)
