Leg 3 CWR recce. 5 mile there and 5 mile back.
I still need to lose some weight. But I enjoyed my morning.:)
well after being at work from yesterday dinner till 4.00 today , just done ten miles to wollaton park and back
sod it im off for a beer , my feet are killing me
Tracey's birthday today so we did 5.25 mile on the roads this morning. My first run on the roads in 3-4 weeks and her 4th road run this week. Hip is feeling good now the XC running this week has helped me a lot.
After two nights of eating and drinking too much - managed last place in the club run over Stile End and Barrow this morning. Mince pie and coffee 20 mins beforehand certainly help make it a productive punishment run - sorry is that too much detail?:o
Did 28 miles from Darlo to past Winston and bk.Ankle is a bit painful now.
Leg four and leg five of the Calderdale Way Relays.
Was blody cold, wet and snowy.
Seems to be lots of people of checking the course out.

6.5 miles around the fields behind Pex Hill with a few runs to the top from different routes in fine drizzle and very wet muddy conditions.
Yesterday - 33 mins XC in pounding wind and rain. And that Inov-8 mistlite jacket was about as much use as a sack of wet s**t. I was soaled through after only 15 minutes.
Only time for a very short 3.5 mile road run tonight a lot of work to do tonight. A sort of recovery run from all my XC running last week.
I did 5 miles in Roddlesworth woods yesterday and 8 miles along the canal and through the park today.
My quads and knees are killing me after Pendle. Mind you the GPS did put the climb for the Tour at 5300 ft!
7.5 mile 1,200ft on hilly road at race pace in the dark and mist. 55 minutes. could hardly stand at the end, Slippery Stones ran past on the last hill.
One Hour XC flat. Soaked, filthy, knackered and happy.

best bit was seeing a weasel/stoat(?) catching a rabbit about three times it's own size
Tankie recce from Crowden over Black Hill to Wessenden Head and back. Very wet under foot, Thick fog and a bit of drizzle. Had 2 hours to kill so continued up on to Bleaklow to Sykes moor and back.
1 hour fells in the dark over wharmton hill,bit of snow and alot of mud en route
Yeh RR,Very hard,signed up to an on line personalised Coaching programme which works on a four week Cycle this is the hard week !!
Its called Momentum Sports its pretty good as i struggle to get to my Club ECH, so its nice for someone to oversee things for you,

Another short 5km Speed session for me tonight started to up the pace a fair bit over a short distance. Thought about a rest night and changed my mind.
The treadmill at Total Fitness is unbelievably boring.
Plus, the room is warm but the air cond. regularly blows frozen air on you. Swoop, you are right, even in the dark, cold, wet winter nights the canal is still better. (ok, it wasn't cold or wet last night, but anyway...).
Why do macho-looking big guys at Total Fitness use the treadmill for FIVE MINUTES before dying ?!
Why are the ladies at Total Fitness wearing beautiful posh expensive luxury "sporty" clothing ? And make up ? And parfume ? Possibly light jewelry? :confused:
I must have been wrong, but I thought gyms were for people to exercise :(
Last week there was a BBC report saying least fit woman are most unlikely to start exercising because they are put off by their looking. Seeing people there makes me agree entirely. People don't go to a gym to get fit, they go to show off new clothing and such ...
