I got 1 puncture 2 weeks ago when I was out in torrential rain (thorn) but other than that they seem few and far between. Only thing I can suggest is double check inner tyre wall for somthing small and sharp that is embedded and make sure the rim tape butts up flush and no spoke ends are trying to push through. Never really heard of a certian rim/wheel making a difference to getting punctures.................

Don't let your tyres get too worn either as they then become less puncture resistant as you will know - especially when you have patches of canvass showing through!!!!

Get the standard Kysirium for winter - ideal.

just back from 54miles in torrential rain myself. Bloody windy as well. Rode it very fast and was okay until about 6 miles till home when the hunger knock hit me as Id forgotten my bars and gels. Soaked and coming up the final steep hill( groaaaaaaaaan damm this bike ) . Must have looked a sorry sight.
Couldnt be arsed to put my coat on either so i blundered through the door and demanded some sweet tea.
20mins in the bath and a can of coke and im back in the land of the living.

the bike has now to be cleaned and i may sleep with her as well
