I added a bit at the end, about 1/2mile, but I got 16.48miles/2739ft. Anyone else got stats to compare?
I plotted the route on Tracklogs and it came out at 15.8 miles and 1893ft. I don't think these software packages take into account all the little down and ups you do as you go across wild country - would they add up to 900ft though?.

Pesky wind nearly blew my contact lenses out!
