Tim, if you can, try and get hold of a copy of the LakesRunner map of the course. It tallies exactly with Ian's advice, and is much clearer than the OS version.

Had a look on their web site. But its not listed.
The only part I need to get clear is how to get down into the trees from the top of Lose Hill. Having a final recce on sunday, so should be fine.

It should be more trodden now as the the HPM does the same route in reverse. from corner/ladder/gate/fence drop down to where the path comes in from hope SK 1498 8504

Don't worry about Lose Hill Tim, last year it was pretty much marked as there was a marshall with a ladder as a makeshift stile.

The line isn't obvious outside of race day, but it's easy on the day.

i agree with that, unless your leading of course...
