I'm sure you have decent recollection of the event. Unlike us, you were almost finished when the really bad weather started...

I reckon those cows were 6am starters and got a bit spooked about your speed in overtaking. I'm sure they had gone a fair bit further along the course when I reached them.

As for starting at 5 secs after 7 (!), I was running at the front with you for the first section, and we lost a lot more than that when we took the first wrong turn along the river bank after 2-3k. My ankles are still cut to pieces from the brambles we were crashing through.

Well done on a marvellous run, regardless of the conditions. 4 secs is a hell of a margin- it's about 2 jelly babies in elapsed time at a checkpoint.
