Wet but warmish with a couple of days of lubrication before hand. I have to say that the weather today has been lovely, after a mizzlely start, so the predictions of heavy rain might not be exactly reliable.
Stolly your forecast is for LONDON (they had their race the other week )

Our race is on Saturday and here is the CORRECT forecast from the BBC

It wasn't London at this end and it still isn't. Must be something to do with your own computer settings??

I think regardless of the locale, it's pants UK weather for the weekend!

Mind you, I like it cool...easier running!

Thanks stringman for the wise words....first time doing the PPP but normay do longer events like the fellsman..I'm going to have to get my race head on me thinks for this as I've done the 'normal 3 peaks route' so many times but at a plodding pace' I'm aiming for 4hrs 3o. I'm the Kippax Harriers runner 505 at the back

it's gonna be a gradely day out !!!

    Re: Three Peaks 2008

Well then, only 46hours 35min left now.

I haven’t really got a clue how well/badly I will do. I have done a ‘million’ long distance walks but I am new to fell running and the Wadsworth Trog (3.50ish) is the only long distance race I have done.

So the plan is to start the race fully hydrated, drink at each drink station, eat some salt and ‘loads’ of jaffa cakes during the race.

Time wise I am hoping for 40-42 min on top of PYG, 1.50 Ribblehead, 2.30 Whernside, 3 Hour Hill inn, 3.40 Ingleborough and finish in 4.25.

It should be a great day out!!
