I hope you were tongue-in-cheek about the pre-race alcohol abstinence! I tried that as an experiment a few weeks ago, and my times hit the pits, which proved conclusively that allowing your beer level to drop is not good for running. But then - what were they testing for in the dope tent?

2008 3 Peaks Checklist for Chris.

Build up races correct? Not really but he put the training in.
Adequate Hydration? I doubt it.
Pre-race massage? Depends on how you define it.
Pre-race carbo loading? Two slices of toast.
Pre-race alcohol abstinence? As if. Bottle and a half of red wine the night before.
Pre-race taper in the two weeks before? As if. The guy would go mad if he didn't run every day.
Plenty of food/drinks consumed on the day? Two gels and some water.

Improvement on last year? First time he's done it.

Enter the 2009 Three Peaks to attempt to break this year's 3:20? He can live in hope but he thoroughly enjoyed this race and will be definitely be back next year.

You must have been running near me up Whernside co's I am on a few of your pic's, which is nice, you have a good one of my back coming from Whernside c/p, I was last Man standing, how the hell did you have time to take photos , I was completly done in , I take my hat of too you.
