    Re: What headtorch?

I've taken the Hope Vision 2 for it's first trip out tonight, the amount of light it puts out is unbelievable! I didn't even bother running with it on the highest setting as the lower ones put out more than enough light.

I'll still use the Myo XP for when it's a clear night and when running in a group, but for the solo runs the Vision 2 is an excellent bit of kit

    Re: What headtorch?

I used my Vision 4 on Eddie's winter round last weekend. It was more than bright enough on low power for the night navigation. I took 2 small batteries but only got about half way through one. I used medium power a couple of times to look for things but that was about it. Great torch and a great night out! Eddie is officially a legend in my book, that was one huge undertaking.

    The definitive headtorch post

From recent experience, I can confirm that Father Christmas wears a Petzl Myo XP, a silly hat and a slightly soppy smile.

At the xmas on the fells i was informed about this fantastic debate and just wanted to know whether you did find a really bright head torch yet amex?

I have often wondered if head torches can light up everything really really well but never bought one.

Similar price to the Silva as well, retails around £55. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the LED head torches in this sort of price bracket.

Not That Good - some reliability issues with the cabling and control circuitry - see the other headtorch threads over the last couple of winters.
