After a very circuitous route I got to Boltby in the dark, plastered in snow from head to foot wearing only skimpy shorts and a cotton t shirt. Must've looked a weird sight as I sprinted back to the car to get warm.
8 miles 1175' ascent. A memorable adventure as it turned out.
Fantastic. Just the right level of vague and laid back planning that makes solo fell runs so much fun.

My training this week has mainly involved pigging out and sleeping. It's been tough but I got through it OK.

A lovely 6 miles in glorious sunshine up Hameldon. Great views over to Pendle, Bleasdale and Boulsworth. Looked slightly hazy up in the Dales. A distinct hint of Spring in the air today - roll on some warm sunshine.

I'll second that. Just took 30mins to find a direct heather bashing way down to the local village off our hill (and back). Lots o' gorse and mud so needed hosing off when I got back.

Si' thi' Sunday Phil. Will you be in Saddleworth colours?

Yes it was full of lessons which I probably won't take any notice of
Scamp is still running: a bit of freelance rabbit chasing and 11 miles this morning along the River Nidd, which is flat as a pancake but still a rugged run, then back across Marston Moor. Don't get excited, flat as the last bit, no flatter. But still full of atmosphere.
