Couple of pints, something to eat, then flopped into bed!
Just like my Brother, bit of an eye opener for him, I think![]()

Beat my time from last year by 1/2hour, even though i felt bloody awful around the pike, it has proven to me that you should stick it out unless you are really rough as i recovered and felt great over the last 8 miles or so. Many thanks to charlie who was on the windmill checkpoint and then ran back to the finish and paced me in.
Well done to Brett and all the team at K&C - another fine effort.
I thought the hot x buns were an interesting twist and grinding my way through one made the climb up the pike that much easier
Congrats to all finishers - especially those at the back of the field - being out there for 12 hours and finishing in the dark must make for one tough day.
Thanks Brett and Team for a brilliant day, i Thought the resistance training against the wind for the the first few miles was a brilliant touch to enable us to build an appetite for the goodies on offer.
Great to meet DT, Ultra Collie and a brilliant bunch off runners all round.
Well done all.
A thousand curses on the twits(sp?) that climbed/bent the fence after Bronte Bridge while we all queued and thanks to those who joined me in the booing and to the calls of "ban em for life" (anon)
K&C - I thank you.
Can't believe the same young lady I saw straddling the fence (and there were only 4 or 5in the queue) also snatched the water container out of my hands at Mankinholes! Didn't think it was that time critical in a 33 mile event?
takes all sorts!
Great event again. Many thanks Brett and all K&C and scouty types.![]()
