No chance! I can save a couple of mins+ with my Kinder knowledge. Caught up loads last time with taking better lines than what most took.

After racing Wild Boar today, don't think my legs will ever be fit to race ever again; I'm shot!

    Still a free country.

And, at the end of the day, it's "only" runnning!

    Enjoy the beer Andy.

There is a race car park which will be signed from the middle of Edale village, I should know, I'm on car park marshalling!

If the parking is in the same place as last year, allow upto 10 minutes to walk back to the Village Hall for registration and kit check - take your bumbag/backpack/etc with you to register, get it checked then go and get yourself changed, or register 'ready to run'. Once your kit is checked, that's what you've got to take with you. The start is again a short distance away, in the field at the foot of Grindsbrook, so allow time for this also.

I was up there this morning and it felt like winter again, with 60mph gusts and the promise of a lot more rain before the weekend. Brown knoll sponge is fairly dry at the moment but i'm sure it'll fill up for Sunday...

Car parking is the same as last year. There are 2 fell race car parks. The first is the hardstanding one near the railway station and close to the Village Hall registration. The other is as Grimmer said about 10 minutes away.

Any idea what drinks are provided at Hope and Mam Nik? Is it cups of water?

Also, the kit list says emergency food but it doesn't stipulate how much. Is there an accepted norm for this?

..and don't be tempted to dump half the mandatory kit after the kit check; they were doing kit checks up at the start as well last year. The start was delayed by 15 mins while everyone waited for the numpty hardcore to go back to their cars and get the stuff they had been told to bring in the first place

Cant remember what the drinks were; think it was just water. I was using a bladder pack anyway 'cos it was so warm. I got through two litres and still had to drink out of the streams coming off kinder. Jelly babies were abundant though, and being handed out by Bertie Bassett himself on the way up to Lose Hill.

    Hi,
Can anyone advise if the local campsites are open at this time of year? If so are any recommended? I'm travelling down on Saturday night.

    Cheers
