You could come out on the club ride on Sunday Em - 9am at Whalley (park car at Spring Wood). Usually a sensibly paced ride. Route sorted on the day.
    I'll PM you nearer weekend.

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Just an hour out on the 'new to me' XC over a variety of terrain. Very comfortable and agile compared to a mountain bike (from memory) but the brakes, even though they are cantis don't seem to have enough stopping power (Deore). Any recommendations of an upgrade (other than discs)? I thought a bottom gear of 32x26 would be low enough but am now thinking perhaps not............
Anyway, good fun and only one falling off incident on a steep climb/lack of traction/fall sideways. Don't feel comfortable with toe clips but these are for a specific ride and will be replaced with egg beaters or similar when that's out of the way.

Nothing like the speed of being on a 'proper' bike on the road but have aquired for 3pcx hopefully. Quite fun and makes a change although falling off looks like it is part of the CX package. Shit brakes too..............
