Oh and i hope all you bikies are doing your maintenence

    cleats and pedals especially
remove your pedals quite often and re grease and remove your cleats and a little oil or vaseline in your threads on your shoes.
Otherwise you may end up having to drill out the studs which can be costly on expensive cycling shoes.

Will have a look at that AS. Have got a cyclocross bike back together in working order, could just do with some SPD's and shoes to go with them but keep running out of money! I do enjoy the road bike and road races but it was my intention to look at the CX scene this sumer as well.

I know its like asking how longs a piece of string, but how long do cleats usually last?
I guess alot of it depends on how many traffic lights you have near you and how well you can balance still clipped in at a junction/turning.

I think once ive been out alot more i'll grow in convidence to balance without unclipping, ive been too consious of balancing and then suddenly needing to unclip for whatever reason and not getting out in time and hitting the deck.

Do the cars mind you leaning on them?
Ive tried grabbing hold of the traffic lights or barriers if there are any and that seems to useful.

I also have a theory, bikes are faster at acceleration 0-15mph than cars maybe? Ive got away faster than every car so far anyway.
