Looks good, all hinges on the ride running West from the forest road being clear.
The ride that runs from below Dduallt and loops around Bryn Melyn is runnable from GR805268, just need to find a way through from the forest edge.

Yes I certainly will be - where does the new route go? We had in mind to look at this, maybe 1st of 2nd weekend in January.

Rhinog recce - based on my very slow split time in July I need to look at the first bit (to the first top) in the dark... There's nothing else I have to look at but more recce time would be good. I've no weekends until 12 Dec though.

BTW my attempt is planned for May 7-8 with 21-22 as bad weather backup (starting late Fri night). Good to hear of another firm plan to do the Meiri - I envy your proximity to the route

...and if you want to see the man go to the WFRA site and scroll down to my Arenig Fawr race. He is at the summit in his Run Meirionnydd vest.

Still trying to find time at the moment to re do the way I found through the forest to post gareg. So I can give you more detail.

(post gareg is'nt on the OS maps) it's a landmark in the forest that we localls refer to for location, which is a stone post on the side of the forest track, you might know of it Yiannis??, but a ride I ran on comes to the heavilly felled area and before it was felled there was a clear path off the ride to post gareg. The path is still visible for about 40yds then it's burried by brash and fallen trees, and its starting to overgrow now.

I must confess I don't remember the stone post. Can you give me more detail to help my memory?

It looks like a free weekend on the 28th and 29th of Nov so could do a section on that weekend if the low, low cloud that we have here at the moment clears off.
Let me know if anyone fancies a section or two.
I'm free that weekend at the moment, and will be keen to come along with you, if I may. Will text you closer to the time to confirm. Sam. (I'll be letting you navigate!)

Ran from Dinas Mawddwy over Maes glase, then over to Waun Oer, notq ite sure where we picked up the meiri route here, then down to the bwlch where the road goes around the back side of Cader, then followed the Merionydd route until the summit, when we took the race route down.

Loads of snow, ground below water logged from all the rain so very heavy going, snow probably a foot deep in the drifts, but loads of bogs to fall through the snow into.

Should of let me know you were in the area. I live just by Dinas Pass.
Anyways I had a toughie today. From Bontfronwydd up Aran Benllyn, Aran Fawddwy, Drws bach. Snow was deep on the Arans today with drifts and low visibility on the summit of Fawddwy. Good though even if most of it was'nt runnable.
Got a fairly good idea now of the route from Pont Fronwydd over to Mynydd Cyfrwy on the Cader section. Just need to brush up from Cyfrwy to Morfa Mawddach. Then suss out the rest.
    Awsome route :-)
