    Re: high peak marathon

well the last few days of posts have been interesting reading and i will opt to stay clear of that debate.

thanks to the organisers for a great race, it was my first HPM and i thoroughly enjoyed it. The marshalls at the checkpoints were a welcome site and always had words of encouragement.

Thanks to IDP for helping finding us a stand in runner, who turned out to be a machine, he only seemed to know one pace never slower and never faster but very constant.

hopefully we will be back next year, if the HPM will have us as im sure we could go a lot faster..

    we finished 19th in 12hrs 14minutes

Anyone else still hungry and tired after this? I've not stopped eating since. Or yawning.

Surely that should be Brat' Packs...

We had a slow one too...

    But, daft to the core..
    I'm sure we will...
    Be back....

And, of course a very very very big thank-you indeed to Sheff' Uni HPC & their Crazy Daft Mad Mates & truly ace Long Term Supporters... who make the DW/HPM one of the best Night & Days' Out...with wilderness to die for.....when you get a moment (next year!) to look around.
Real Kracker this year, plenty of superb vistas (clear & murky!), all deeply etched inside for a long time to come, we are of course very lucky...I know we know...

You'll have to get him to carry some of your kit to lighten your load. It makes sense to me
