About 12 miles from Cilcain taking in a recce of the Llangynhafal Loop. Ground dry and hard.
Can't see many runners using the track for the final descent. The trods across the grass are quite clear.
I passed just to the left of the quarry and headed almost straight for the gate at the bottom.
No doubt Fellrunner will know a better line so we'll all follow!![]()

An hour in the glorious sunshine along the canal and around Dunham Park.
Tired after Wardle on Saturday and yesterday's trot around the Clwydian Hills.
3.1 miles over the fields as a speedy fartlek, really mixing it up and pushing the hilly bits. In contrast to yesterdays' slow 10 miles. Doing the GEAR 10k at Kings Lynn on Sunday. Dead flat, beside the Great Ouse River and around the town.
