If not could be arrghhh whats the name of that other thing....stress fracture.....eeek

Or could just shin splints. Have you tried ibuprofen Gel??

I see no one gives a s**t about my heart attach comment!
I'd say if it's like for like then yes it's more puffy than the other one!
It's not the same side as that photo but on the inside of my leg. Definately hurts to touch but after lasts night HOT bath and massage then the RICE for most of the night it felt ok ish this morning although still sore to the touch.

I but stacks of Ibro gel on it and did 12 miles on the fells this morning it was hurting to start with but by 10 miles I felt good!!

I'm going to keep up with the massage and RICE most nights and see if the swelling goes and more importantly the pain!

At least it's taking my mind of the torn ligament in my foot!!

ps - have you recovered from your heart attack yet

Ok ems, if you did 12 miles on the fells today Toffer philosophy says there is nothing significant wrong with you so ignore it.
Anyway pain is good isn't it.
Mind you did run down the Ben one year with a broken fibula

It's probably just ticht compartments, abit of stretching will see you right.

Got a pain in the leg, inside the leg really to the right of the shin but not in the calf muscle. I had it massage yesterday and it's really painful to touch my Fitness dude thinks it may be CCS (chronic compartment syndrome??)

May well just be shin splint. Does your shin bone hurt when you press on it and does it hurt more running downhill than up? If so probably shin splint - quite common, especially if you have uped your mileage suddenly.

Have you fallen over recently Calf? It may be that you've bruised/cracked some ribs.

No but that might be it or something similar
Its also painfull in my back as well, its not there all the time, kinda comes and goes but feels a bit better today!
As part of last weekends stag do I bascially spent 6 hours throwing up, and am wondering if I've strained something doing that!

Anyways as you've pointed out to Emma I'm meant to be a fell runner and stuff like this shouldn't be stopping me!

Do you mean the shin bone down the front of the leg? If so, No that's fine - the pain is more soft tissue/muscle like to the right of the shin bone (left leg!!) It's all lumpy underneath

That should read tight compartments, ther'e a sheath that contains your muscels. WHen the muscles get too big it causes you pain. If you do some stretching, for whatever area of calf hurts it should alleviate the pain.

I've had it a few times, so it's not really anything to worry about.

    Re: Todays Injuries

    Ankle update,

I have a bruise running right along outside of my foot from the back to the toes almost, my ankle bone on the outside is swollen and still very sore to touch.

Im guessing that I should take a wide berth from the coniston fell race at the weekend, and perhaps have a week to let the swelling go down.

    Oh joy
