    Re: Today's poet

    Fellrunners thanks to Lord Hermes.

Lord Hermes guide us through Fell and Dale,
Make us fleet of foot so we do not fail,
And our dutiful service you shall have,
With your help we shall best our peers,
Given athletic prowess beyond our years,
In our victory your name will be honoured,
Your divine power gave our heels wings,
Lord Hermes your name the fellrunner sings,
And allow us forever more to run the earth.

    By Herakles.

    { Lord Hermes is god of many things but most importantly to the Fellrunner he is the God of athletic contest.}

    lovely stuff stef .....

    Is/Not

    Love is not a profession
    genteel or otherwise

    sex is not dentistry
the slick filling of aches and cavities

    you are not my doctor
    you are not my cure,

    nobody has that
power, you are merely a fellow/traveller

    Give up this medical concern,
    buttoned, attentive,

    permit yourself anger
    and permit me mine

    which needs neither
    your approval nor your suprise

which does not need to be made legal
which is not against a disease

    but agaist you,
which does not need to be understood

    or washed or cauterized,
    which needs instead

    to be said and said.
    Permit me the present tense.

    THE BOY

    I liked his face
    It made me smile
The warmness of those brown eyes
    Brows without a furrow
Cheeks full with rosiness and joke
Lips working hard on conversation to be had
Two rows of the brightest white behind
    I liked his face
    It made me smile
