Thread: Holme Moss

    Re: Holme-Moss

Apparantly there is a picture of me from 2008 lying on the ground fast asleep, comotose like, any one got an idea where? I have searched the thread with a fine tooth comb, and I can't find it, also searched the forum in general too. Any ideas?
    Cheers.

Oh and this was a really hard race to do with a possible cracked knee cap! Still just over 4 hours will do for me, suffering now though!

Many thanks to the race organisers and marshalls for setting up a splendidly tough event. Will be back next year to try and do a bit better!

yes that's the one, thanks very much!! (really) It was my first long fell race ever, I'd decided on the spur of the moment, 45 minutes before it started to get from Sowerby Bridge to the start!
Made it with 5 minutes to spare...little did I realise how tough this race was! I vowed never to do it again!!! Until it became a club championsip race this year. The new finsih leg was much tougher than I thought it would be, Cheers

Dear Somewhere... I'd get that kneecap checked if I were you. I ran a few races on a cracking knee cap earlier this year, and I ended up with a properly broken knee cap on Nab Scar, more than 2 months ago and still walking with a leg brace. Big respect on finishing such a long race with it though.

Thanks very much to all involved. I haven't done that race or even run that far before but other than a dodgy spell between 12 & 13 miles I absolutely loved it and surprised meself with a 3:32.

Sure I wasn't alone in that and hope you all had a great run too!
same-same, must've been either right in front or right behind

real rollercoaster ride: felt really strong at times but a couple of real wibbles, and battled sciatic pain for the last five miles as usual, and then did my ankle on the final descent

a mean run-in on the road / track: is the field at the top of that incline? No it's another half-mile, ugh

a lot of long, flagged sections out on the open fells - first time I've seen that

but brilliantly organised, marshalled etc, thanks to all concerned, including the many photographers out there on what started off as a grim old day
