As expected I didn't get all the way round and dropped out at windy gap knowing I wouldn't make it to Honister before the cut-off. What a tough race with slippy conditions. Certainly gave me a taster for next year!

Thanks to the organisers and Mountain rescue guys.
Peawet, I sympathise. I didn't make the cut off.

I started the race and just didn't feel right for the first two hours. Navigation was not a problem I just couldn't get going. It was only when I got some food down me that I started to feel normal. I missed the cut off by 4 minutes. Absolutely gutted. It has however probably given me the kick up the arse I need to shed some excess pounds and sort myself out for these longer runs that I want to get into.

Thanks to the organisers and marshalls. And, well done to everybody that ran yesterday. I WILL be back next year.
