See if you can locate the diagonal route up Birk Fell that follows a change in the rock stratification, it's only obvious when you're looking accross the valley from the 3 Shires Stone. On my recce i picked up a sheep trod along the full length but couldn't find it again on the race day; however, that turned out to be the least of my worries that day.Originally Posted by L.F.F.
