There's usually water at Halfway, Clogwyn and at the summit.

Yes it's called the sky! although the weather forecast isn't looking too bad.

Don't start me worrying about shoes - happy with my decision and I am not going to change my mind/worry about it between now and Saturday...

I thought the website was OK and told me everything I needed to know - useful info here http://www.snowdonrace.co.uk/service....aspx?folder=6

Also found a link to information on the route: http://www.eryri-npa.gov.uk/visiting...llanberis-path

a good runner could get close this year due to the improvments to the path and also the permited railway section, but TBH i`m not sure the current crop are up to it(views also expressed bu KS)
has the route halfway > Allt moses ever been much quicker than now? that's the worst section by far now.

not too sure.my first Snowdon was in 1996.you werent allowed on the railway then but the steps to the summit trig was not there then.the top half of allt moses has deffo got worse over the years but nowadays runners take the grassed section to the right to avoid it and that is showing a lot of wear and tear to it now.this is by far the quickest i`ve seen the route at.

Looks like a cracking descent from Ian holmes (fastest on the day) and if I read it right he was in 17th at the top and pulled back 9 places to finish 8th. Epic

Great result for Andi Jones and looks like 1st and 2nd were very close
