A few pics snapped on my phone on the way round: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jurasou...71738927/show/ I reckon they cost me about 5 minutes but worth it!

Drove straight to Stoke-on-Trent afterwards and didn't get cramp, result.

    Looking forward to next year.

Awesome stuff, classic photo Leaf:thumbup:, total legend and surrounded by such stunning scenery as well, tremendous and I missed it all by doing the Tour Of Bradwell!!

Speaking of which Zoot, I finally properly met your mate Heather at a race a couple of weeks ago having run alongside her for a while back at that brilliant Edale Skyline performance she had. Also lovely.

yeah she's a top lass Simon - clever, funny and a great runner to boot. (She was second female at Borrowdale in under four hours.)

It's the first time I've ever been hammering round a hardcore race and somebody running alongside me has asked if I'd like any of their water. Really nice.

Then at Bamford Carnival race a couple of weeks ago, I'm warming up in the start field and we sort of clocked each other at the same time, 30 seconds for the penny to drop for both of us, Oh now I remember you....Edale Skyline! 2nd placed Lady with the water!

Glad she's doing so well at the moment.

    Re: Borrowdale Fell Race

Just remembered that I was near the top of Great Gable two guys came charging down saying they'd missed the checkpoint at Sty Head and been sent back for it. Anyone know a) what that was all about - how do you get from SP to GG without hitting SH or going badly wrong! and b) if they made the cutoff, since that seems unlikely?

Also, I've seen a schedule to make the cut-off floating around that suggest getting to BessyBoot in 50 minutes will get you to Honister in 4:19. I'm dubious about, I think it's a recipe for a big blow-up! I planned on BB in 45, ended up at 50 due to the slow start down the footpath, and then ran bang on planned pace (so not getting faster, just avoiding fade) all the way to Great Gable, but lost lots of time on the next leg due to injury and reached Honister in 3:55. Suggests to me that if you're trying to make the cut-off, you'd be better advised to take it easier up BessyBoot and save some energy for Gable!

Yeah i had a natter to her as we went up Dale Head. Then she took off and kicked my ass on the decent. I was gone by then and she was still going strong!!! Great run by her. Where does she live. We need to get her joined up with Dark peak.

Thanks for the great photo Wharfee - not grimacing at this point!! And thanks for the compliment Zoothornrollo (?!). Not sure where the user name comes from though...be nice to know your proper name! Slightly worse for wear at the end of the night in the Scafell - top night with the Wharfedale crazy-dancing gang!

Another cracking picture. Your lens must be well polished wharfee.

I can't see Zoltan's photographic equipment about his person but he managed some considerable pixel exposure along the way. See here.
