    I missed Saturday's programme.

I think the others have been good, but if I was going to miss one of them it would have to be the heavy metal one as like you 'Roger' I'm not a fan of it at all.

But Seven Ages of Rock! Very odd that they did such a big bit on Genesis when they got nowhere in the charts at the time. Interesting footage though (they wereone of the first bands I liked when I got into music 20 years ago, but I lost interest when I found VDGG). Someone suggested listening to "Seconds Out" - don't! It's a travesty ;-) Seriously - it's a very odd introduction to the Peter Gabriel songs to listen to Phil Collins singing them - the version of Supper's Ready was a big disappointment in particular.

Looks like I missed last nights stadium rock one, doing a bit of stadium rock practical instead - Muse at Wembley. Terrific stuff, very good gig indeed from "anthems are us" Devon lads. Crowd loved them.
Now how do they rate compared with the stadium gods on last nights prog. Well, pretty well I would say, but not up there with the very best I have seen, Led Zep and U2......U2 at the old Wembley, oooh Zooropa was it??? help me Wheeze.....Bono and the Edge, out in the crowd on a stage extension, rain pouring down, as close to heaven as you can get!!!!!!!
Minor quibles last night with last nights sound, a sound desk problem not the band methinks, vocals a bit indistinct, stadium thing I reckon and Matt Bellamy needed his guitar turning up. There are some fantastic swooping shards of stuff that he plays, I really wanted to be nailed to the back of the stadium wall by them, and good as he was, and he was bloody good, I didn't quite get that. Nonetheless, excellent gig

Didn't think much of last nights efforts.

As much as i love them, Since when did the Indie scene start with the Smiths?

Joy Division/New Order, or Factory weren't even mentioned which is rather like doing the history of punk without mentioning the Sex Pistols.

It seems like this is major attempt to totally revise music history. Everything has been coming out a bit distorted thus far. Toff and I reckon it's prob coz its written with an american audience in mind.

How can you have a programme about the indie scene without even once mentioning Fay Wray? Or Erics?? pah!
