Love the vole pic Wharfee! When I was in Ardnamurchan, I found out that pine martins like jam sandwiches, wish I'd had a decent camera then.

Been feeling a bit low for the past few days but it just shows how restorative nature can be. Just had an extremely muddy run in magical Hackfall woods and stopped to take it all in for a few moments. In those moments I saw a flock of long tailed tits, blue tits, great tits, two squirrels, a lesser spotted woodpecker, a nuthatch and a pair of jays! Feel loads better now (and I didn't fall over once!).

Absolutely stunning photos Wharfee, thanks for posting the link. I really love the light and texture that you have captured and the skein of geese and jumping salmon are those kind of moments in nature that are so difficult to record accurately but you've managed beautifully. Very very inspiring!!!

Cracking view of a male sparrowhawk in the garden this morning.
It spent about 10 minutes in our maple tree plucking a prey item.

Goldcrest, nuthatch and roe deer in the woods below Loughrigg this afternoon.
