Due to a totally innocuous calf strain whilst running in Derbyshire I've been out on the bike 3 times this week, 16 then 20 then 26 today. I've enjoyed the work and can feel it in my legs but my feet (mainly toes) have been falling to sleep and are pretty numb by the time I've got back home. I have a pair of Shimano shoes and they are "snug" but not overly tight when I'm walking around in them. Do the regular cyclist on here have any tips when picking shoes? I guess like most other sport shoes certain brands are narrower than others, are there any brands which are generally wider than others? I suppose it could also be down to the cold but I don't tend to get cold feet when running, even in long cold and wet conditions.
