Hi Mr.B, if it isn't a stupid question, why are you on Facebook if you hate it? Just delete your profile and you won't have to put up with it any more.

I hate Facebook, up until a few weeks ago it was stalking me with these stupid updates and had been doing for years, until i found out how to turn off everything. Facebook has turned into a place for organising ineffectual and pointless gestures like balloon releases for baby P. I saw a big silver balloon littering the shores of Fewston Reservoir last weekend and thought, "yep, Facebook did that."

Well some times I post them on FB but not always...

More in keeping with the thread title though, I keep getting friend requests from people who I have never heard of, however, they seem to have about 15-20 of my friends as friends so we must move in similar circles, some I've since worked out are forumites, so if you do send me a request and I havent answered it may be I haven't worked out who you are so next time please add a note....

I went cold turkey with Facebook once, I tried hard to stay away from it's sticky clutches but I caved as I found I was completely out of the loop with the goings on at my running club and as Head Marshal who needs to rally troops for races that's no good. FB is the way we communicate. Also, I like to congratulate my friends on their achievements. You may read that as me being nosey!
