He just made it within the cut-off time. But then so did Sagan, who at one point looked like he might do a bit better.
I thought the stage was actually a bit of a damp squib, except for Rolland's excellent performance and some nice scenery.
The attacks from both Evans and Nibali were totally unconvincing, Sky's robotic organisation and superiority somewhat predictable.
If Wiggins wins this it will be very much in the style of Indurain or the later Armstrong victories. i.e., boring.
