To be fair fozzy I'm not that bothered and I haven't even been running many races this year because I need to be (and often prefer to be) out running with my border collie at the weekends. In fact, thinking back, of all the races I've run this year only one of them has not been dibbered. That said I'll hopefully have more cover for Harry (the collie) next year, when my elder daughter returns from Oz, so I might be running a few more races in 2014.
I don't run for a club though and don't have a racing vest and kind of feel a bit miffed drilling pin holes into my running tops (prefering to drill holes into my shorts or leggings). More to the point to me fell running is all about the freedom of running in the hills where and how I want to and daft rules dealing with exactly where I can or can't pin a race number kind of seem ridiculously petty.
I doubt the FRA is going to worry too much about me and my 'curmudgeonly' views anyway
