I think the cut offs are there all the time now, it's at Grisedale Tarn, but I'm not sure what time the cut off is.

The climb up onto Catstycam must be pretty tough? :closed: Im looking forward to this race but it'll be a bit rougher tham most ive done by the looks of it :closed: Is there a trod of Helvellyn down to the tarn, one that avoids the tourist path as I remember thats awful

I have not done the race in good weather so have relied on a compass bearing from the trig to the CP which involved a lot of contour running but was a direct line at least. Did come across a few trods and then picked up a good when when vis cleared not far from the CP. Climb up CatsyCam is a bit brutal.

cheers ady. A course for proper fell shoes then eh, best dig my Walsh out. Been atleast 25 year since I was over Swirral Edge, it scarred me a bit when I was a nipper

Any advice for the route over St Sunday please? Is it straight over the top and then turn off to get over to the hole in the wall?
