Yes even York Away

Nowt wrong with York away Danbert, that was my first big away trip as a lad in 1966, FA Cup first round. Coincidentally after draws at York and Morecambe the second replay for some bizarre reason was at Maine Road.

A bonus point for anyone who can name the two teams who played the last time there was a second replay in the FA Cup, no googling

Last night was just another notch on the bedside post that's why we embrace the club, quirks and foibles, It's what makes us and what makes everyone who ever walked through the doors of Maine Road and now The Etihad fall in love with the Sky Blues.

This is what makes me laugh.. you think we love United for the wins.. not similar reasons.. the highs and the lows.. the come backs.. 'football, bloody football'.. as I've said many times the best season since 08.. was you winning the league on the last game of the season.. its just drama.. only United can do that to us.. that's why I'm still enjoying it now.. I did when we were struggling in the old league one...

You don't pick your team, you get told what team you support, and that's it.. I was just lucky.. you weren't..

Congrats Alf, you have joined Iain's 'you don't agree with me so you are an idiot' club. Only me, you and Danbert so far but no doubt the membership will grow.

Whatever he says he will never know what it's like to support a team struggling in the lower leagues or non league, stood in the pissing rain, sometimes miles from home wondering why you bother, but those experiences make the good days all the more worthwhile.

Maybe, we'll see.. I'm not sure. I think if we get to the 1/4s in the CL.. win a cup, top 4 it'll be a decent season. Looking at the last 16 draw we should get a decent draw. Milan are the obvious ones to avoid, but they are way off what they were, so we should get through that.

I do like the abuse you get for being a Man U fan, had a mate who switched from Man U to Man City because he got bored of always winning and randomly picked city when they were in league 2.. could never understand it.

Absolutely spot on Richard. I think the most annoying thing is the amount of moaning and "woe is me" stuff we're beginning to hear from them at the moment. They genuinely feel they've got it tough. Tough?!!! Sweet Jesus, can you imagine if they found themselves playing league games against the likes of Wycombe Wanderers, Macclesfield Town and Lincoln City?!! They've no concept of what tough is.

From what I can make of it, the new protest, Instead of wearing green and yellow scarves, appears to be going to Old Trafford matches dressed as a red seat (and smelling of piss).
