Always wondered whether anyone went that way, may have to try it next year!

I went that way one year with Deejay. It felt a bit naughty when everybody else was going the other way.
It was pretty good underfoot and I quite enjoyed the novelty, but I think that although it encouraged a faster pace, the extra distance more than cancelled out that advantage and it ended up being slightly slower. Not much in it, though.

I tried that way a few years ago and bottled out (hadn't reccied it) so ran back up the track to follow the route I knew. Thanks for the advice Tussockface. I won't be left forever wondering (not to mention wandering) now.

It is interesting watching the split at Keighley Gate Dan. The "lefties", the "righties" & the rebels who go down Keighley Gate, then cut across ! What time are you hoping for, sub 3 ?

Entered, but having to pull out, as per last year, as my son's running for Bradford Schools XC at Leeds Grammar.

I'm running Rombalds for the first time this year and was wondering what you elite lot will be wearing on your feet? I'm using it as training for my BG attempt later on in the year so I won't be going fast. I have inov8 mudclaws and flyroc's. With the boggyness I'm thinking about my mudclaws. Any suggestions? Thanks Wooj

X-talon 212 here, there is a lot of bog, but only a couple of places you'd need the out and out grip of the mud claw due to the gradient. I do have flyroc but just find them too heavy.
