How does not having sympathy for someone make me a "right wing extremist"?. Perhaps my understanding of the word sympathy is different to others.
If someone was told not to go on a mountain ridge due to thunder storms but still went and got struck by lightening I would have no sympathy. If someone was told not to go into a cave system because of heavy rain and still did and came unstuck again I would have no sympathy.
The journalist putting herself in the highly dangerous place that she did, along with the others that were there, is not heroic just plain stupid.
Right wing extremist? I don't think so.
Visibility good except in Hill Fog
Journalists go into dangerous situations, because dangerous situations are often newsworthy. Mostly they have good intuition as to how to keep safe. Maybe Lyra McKee thought it would be safer to stand next to the police than in the middle of the rioters; that would seem sensible to me.
Maybe she was unwise, maybe not deserving of sympathy; but your earlier suggestion that she was looking for some police misdemeanour was completely out of order.
I've done my best.
It went along the lines of: while I agree the situation with Italian banks is a cause for concern, it's not a failing of the EU per se, more a failing of how they have handled the situation following the global credit crunch. Also, it doesn't make the whole European project something to turn our backs on (in my opinion).
All I can say is study currency unions and why they always fail. The euro was EUs decision so it certainly is EUs failure. You can't have a different opinion on that. It is a fact they always fail. It is also EU banking rules that have put Italian banks in an impossible position.
As for turning our back on it, the EU refused to negotiate with Cameron, and refuse to negotiate either withdrawal or trade. So remain and reform is a unicorn. It was also EU changed from a trading block to a non democratic superstate. They turned their backs on us.

Having never meet Llani boy and fully understand he calls a spade a spade, he does have a very fair and honest point.
Why go into a war zone with no protection?
It's not a nice thing to happen but could have been prevented if she had thought more seriously about what and where she was.
She put herself in danger with no thoughts for her family or loved ones.
Firstly, Derry/Londonderry is not a "war zone". Maybe 40 years ago it was commonplace for thugs to take potshots at the police (and journalists were aware of this), but not now.
Secondly, I am actually very grateful that there are brave reporters willing to go into dangerous situations (with proper precautions): we need to know what is going in Syria, Yemen, etc.
