the black one (inghy) and one of the tabbies (penny) went to live together with a lovely pair of humans who have a big garden. The last tabby (wherny) will be sent to his new home with my sister in a few days and the mother will be putting her feet up and relaxing in preaparation for a little operation soon......

5 points to anyone who guesses how they got their names....... (trying to get focussed or what!!)

    not drowned MUD!

21 miles, 5791ft of ascent, from the layby on the A494 near Llanferes, over Foel Fenlli, Moel Famau, Moel Arthur, Pen Y Cloddiau, turning at Moel Y Parc and retracing my steps, 4:06:59, suprised myself, not only did I "run" the whole thing but I was a hour faster than expected. Makes Edale Skyline slightly less daunting now.

Had an excellent walk / jog in the lakes. Went from the dam at Haweswater upto High Raise via Low Raise saw a herd of around 5 dear on the way up. From High Raise went across to Rampsgill head. Then went to Kidsty Pike then up to High Street, Followed the Kentmere route upto Harter Fell. Was blown away by the view across Haweswater from the viewpoint near Harter Fell. Then went onto Branstree and Selside Pike then back down to the dam. 16.5 miles 4300ft. Took it slow, walked the hills jogged the flats/downs. What a great day for it.

Friday did nowt as I was moving house!

Today went out on the bike, 2:45 and 45 miles up in't hills. Bolton to blackburn thru to rossendale, into rochdale and back thru bury!

Pretty hard work, bonked a treat thou was intentional, trying to get the body used to burning fat!

Just done 50 mins lifting and then a lovely relaxing 15 mins in the jacuzzi!

Tomorrow am planning an easy, slowish 15 miles on the road! PLus 70 lenghts in the pool in the evening!

Reckon I might be ok to hit the hills next weekend as the groin seems alot better!

    Re: Todays Training

Took my new Walsh PBs out for their first trip over the downs; one hour and a few hills later I was glad to take them of. The grip and the lightness are great but I had to do them up so tight to stop them slipping on my feet that as I say I was happy when I took them off. Just got to break them in I suppose.

    Cheers - Raymond

    Yes!

I finally got back out on the road last night. First time in over two months.

Did a steady three miles round the village and the recurrent knee injury seems to have gone (fingers crossed).

    Felt great today.
