    His Head Master at Eton said Boris felt entitled, didn't bother with detail and was lazy. He has not changed.

    His hero is Churchill. Another man who did not let details get in the way of personal aggrandisement and winning at the cost of the lives of others.

    Getting things done is about compromise and flexibilty and realpolitik. If you are a naïve idealist then grow a beard, stop washing and chain yourself to a tree. If you live in the real world - get the deal done.

    When you deal with the unscrupulous, the ambitious, those that can't be trusted - better that they are on your side. If you believe in truth and purity and life everlasting - get thee to a nunnery.

    I would not trust Boris to pay for his own coffee - but he might well win the next election for the Conservative Party.
