Windproof you say surely the kit requirements required Waterproofs. DSQ if you can't follow the rules laid out by the RO

I was wearing a windproof but had waterproofs in my sack.

I wonder if the guy who ran round the bottom of Stoodley Pike instead of over the top reported the fact when he finished...

I went a lot further along London Road than any other runners in that sort of group before climbing directly to the monument........Was the person you're referring to wearing a greenish windproof, blue bum bag and 3/4 leggings??? If they were it could've been me!

No, a bright blue water/windproof. I saw them as I was descending (just after midday), they were on the main path round the bottom before picking up the route. Of course they might not even have been part of the race, I never caught up with them

Thanks to the organisers and all the marshalls for all their efforts in putting the event on.

I had a wretched day, having been ill all week. Severely tested my ability to keep going. Thanks to Derby Tup for some encouraging words as I was sat, in a bit of daze, on the pathside above Hollin Hall

Too much road and not enough grass/bogs for my liking anyway. Legs feel battered. Will still have to do it again next year to put in a decent time!

Thanks to Brett and the team for another cracking day out: this was my first ultra three years ago and it holds a special place in my heart. Lovely scenery and great marshalls. See you next year.

Was that you I was walking with from the bridge up towards Top o't Stairs? If it was then you were wrong, I didn't catch you! Got within 30 yards or so at the top of the hill, but my legs wouldn't let me do much more than a slow stagger down the other side...
If it wasn't you then please ignore the above
