Obviously the individual decides (in the Borrowdale thread case Balin) as to what they consider 'anti-whatever' or 'whatever-phobic' and feels the need to say so.
Personally there are things I occasionally find offensive that have reared their 'ugly-heads' on the forum from time to time but usually I just let it be coz I don't do arguments and anger.
Like DT I don't care much for swearing, nor the arrogance of those who feel its ok to speed on country roads (they know who they are and on that occasion I felt the need to respond), but most of all I dislike any personal insults to fellow forumites - the irony of this is that, as FM alluded to earlier, Balin is as guilty of that as much as anyone
