You're getting sucked into the Heathens' lies Noel. That's why you've got to be really careful when you read his posts. For instance he claims that I said I didn't have the conviction to put all my money in gold. Where did I say that?

He's concluded this response from my answer and then ascribed it to me, even saying I said it. The question was asked: 'How much wealth would you bet on this conviction' My answer: 'none I don't gamble on conviction.'

You see I don't see investing in gold as a bet. I do see diversification as a bet though, and consequently see it as part of the cause of the credit crunch. That much is obvious to a goat.

So in summary gold is king, diversification is dead.
