    Hi Pieter
I wouldn't suggest you use the Recolite for running.

Ideally you need to go to a specialist dealer and try on a few different shoes from different companies.
From our range I would look at the following ultralight minimalist shoes.
    X-Talon 190-due out soon
    X-Talon 212
Roclite 285- as Scott says one of my favourite shoes.

As for staying calm well I realise that most folks appreciate info from an insider.
You have to realise Pieter that in the UK there is a sport called " Strike" it's a bit like fishing you cast out a line and await for ******** to bite. Then you reel them in.
    Great sport

New member here :-) I am a barefoot runner (Holland). In the mountains I need some protection though. I have run succesfully in 5-euro watershoes. Vibam Five Fingers would be great as well.

But - for our next summer holiday to the mountains, my family wants me to wear "normal" shoes.

What I look for is a shoe that
    - protects my sole from sharp rocks
    - protects my toes from stubbing
    - has good grip
    - is lightweight
    - is flexible. I'm used to my feet 'working' and I hate putting them in a 'ski shoe'
    - has a wide forefoot
    - no heel lift (I am used to flat shoes and fore foot running)
    - no arch support (hate that).

    Questions:
    1. To what extent is the Recolite 190 a candidate for me?
    2. If I can do mountain runs in watershoes, can I do it in Recolites?
    3. Will the sole survive a few days on rocky trails?
    4. How is the fit? (lenght, width at forefoot and heel). My feet are wide at the toes.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE !

And Inov-8 Insider, I like how you stay cool and factural, even when some posters get (kind of) agressive

You're welcome! Not that we have summer over here - but we do have cold wheather, clouds, rain and wind. So I suppose that as a Brit you would feel at home here

PS: is this the Clegg effect (Dutch mother)?

I started this first therefore you bite and I win (oh no you didn't, oh yes I did , its behind you etc)

I think you will find that works both ways depending where you are stood, a lot of people also think you are a fool the issue is how I/you feel about it, if the issue is kudos we both lose. You seem a bit worried (again) - I have heard horlicks is relaxing

As long as you respond to my posts I shall continue enjoying myself, now where's that map of Holland.

Enjoy the rest of your evening, this is not worth all your fretting

The dutch on the forum seem to prefer to come over here, even preferring wales

Enjoyed my visits to your country even if you can't brew beer and serve mayo with chips. Have even seen sunshine and a hill.

not sure what the clegg effect you refer to is? are you referring to setting up a proportional voting system on the forum, where would inov insider go, who would he sell to

Nice to chat to you though.
