I think before the next race we need a trip round the course with a strimmer

Car Park Closure: The car parking for the next Trunce will be a little limited but not as much as first thought.
Work has commenced on the culvert but there is still access onto part of the field. Try to limit number of cars arriving in to alleviate any potential challenge. Thanks in anticipation. Andy

    Re: Trunce

    A good race last night!!

I was happy with a new 'PB', even it if was only by a couple of seconds.

However, I guess I wasn't the only one who had problems with the (wind-driven) dust - it played havoc with my contact lenses.

I haven't seen him yet, but I guess my (next-door-but-one) neighbour will also be very happy with his run, as he got a new 'PB' (2226 - Dave Gill)

I know we could have car-shared, but I hadn't seen him over the weekend, & he told me that it was a 'spur-of-the-moment' decision to come down to run

    Edit @ 11:31

    Forgot!
Just after the start (100 yards?), I heard the shout "Man Down!"

Does anyone know if this runner was okay, & able to continue?

Plus, some of Richard Asquiths photos are 'up' now

(Peter Davidson, of 'Penistone Footpath Runners' was also taking photos at the first river crossing, not sure where his will appear?)

No reports of any serious injuries but one runner was back at the start before all the field had gone under the bridge.

Thanks Andy, it seems as though he (or was it a she?) was okay then, just 'dusted'

    Re: Trunce

    Apologies in advance

I doubt I'll be attending on Monday, as I'm back at work in the morning, after finishing 3 weeks annual-leave (first day off was 5th July; 'race 6' evening)

So, I don't think management will take kindly to my asking for Monday off after only being there Saturday & Sunday - they'll think I'm 'taking the wee-wee'
I can always try to persuade one of my collegues to swap.......
(unless, memories failing with my advancing years, & I've already organised the day off?????)

I do know, that I won't be at 'Race 8' either, as I'm down in Devon with SWMBO & 'small-child' for the week
(mmm, early morning runs on Dartmoor, now that's a good idea!)

I should be free for 'race 9' though
