I own it too, love how all the packaging is in reverse. Glad you agree that it's a good film, certainly different as you say. Just think its filmed brilliantly. Think it's so harrowing because it actually feels like you are there witnessing the events as they happen, and for me thats a very rare sign of an exceptional film. You can keep all the new fangled shock horror such as hostel, saw etc nothing comes close to this. In fact I don't think there is another film that compares to this for being so harrowing and leaving a lasting impression in your mind.

Yes I have Goodbye Lenin on DVD. I watched it again last week coincidentally.

Last night I watched Sunset Boulevard on the TV for the umpteenth time. Brilliant film, superbly written, directed and acted.

Watched Clash of the Titans last night, bought it for the one armed bandit that is my son (broken his wrist, wired and potted for six weeks) took him to see it at the cinema in 3d when it came out, great escapism film, or am i just a big kid.
    A quote from the film:
'Gentlemen, may our journey be long, filled with agony and torment, and may we all complain about it bitterly as old men'
Sounds like a long fell race

Watched the hangover again for the umpteenth time last night. Brilliant....

    What do tigers dream of
When they take their little tiger snooze
Do they dream of mauling zebras
Or Halle Berry in her Catwoman suit

Don't you worry your pretty striped head
We're gonna get you back to Tyson and your cozy tiger bed
And then we're gonna find our best friend Doug
And then we're gonna give him a best friend hug

    Doug..... Doug.....
oh, Doug, Dougie, Dougie, Doug, Doug!
But if he's been murdered by crystal meth tweakers
    ..........
Well then we're shit out of luck

I watched A History of Violence directed by David Cronenburg starring Viggo Mortensen Monday night.

Great cameos from William Hurt and Ed Harris as gangsters

Tom Stall(Viggo Mortensen): In this family, we do not solve problems by hitting people!
Jack Stall(His son): No, in this family, we shoot them!

    Double dose for me.
Hangover - not as lewd as I was expecting and quite funny in parts.
Man Of The Year - If you like Robin Williams, you'll enjoy this. Nice pricking of the American Political system but with an inane subplot.

Not seen "Irreversible", but "L'Appartement" has Monica Belluci (and Vincent Cassel, her hubby the lucky git!) in it and although it's a few years since I saw it I remember it as being very good - worth checking out if you've not seen it. I think it was remade as an American film some years back, but I can't believe that whoever is in the American remake is as watchable as MB.

    Re: Todays Movie

Went to see Inception last night, cracking stuff - won't give anything away but Empire says...

Like The Matrix mated with Synecdoche, New York — or a Charlie Kaufman 007. To paraphrase Casino Royale’s Vesper Lynd, it’s a meaningful pursuit in a summer of disposable entertainments. With physics-defying, thunderous action, heart-wringing emotion and an astonishing performance from DiCaprio, Nolan delivers another true original: welcome to an undiscovered country.
